Do I need a credit card to register for an account on lotoquebec.com?

No. Having a credit card makes the identity confirmation process faster, but you can also confirm your identity by uploading a copy of other pieces of government-issued photo ID (e.g. your driver’s licence or passport).

How do I upload my ID documents to your website from my computer?

You can send us your ID documents using lotoquebec.com’s upload feature. You can access the platform one of two ways:

– Once you’ve created your profile (after having duly completed the three preliminary steps and indicated your profession)

– By clicking on the My Espacejeux icon, then on ID Confirmation. This option will remain active until you’ve sent in your ID documents. If this option is no longer active, then you can no longer upload any ID documents.

Follow these steps to upload your ID documents:

Step 1
Click on the Pieces of ID tab.

Make sure to read the information provided. You must upload a document for each of the two required categories: a document with your name and date of birth, and a document with your name and address.

Once you’ve chosen the documents that you want to upload, please take a clear picture of each one with your smartphone or tablet, or by scanning them.

Next, save your documents on your computer and rename them, if necessary. Be sure to save your documents under an accepted file extension. We accept documents with the following file extensions: .pdf, .jpg, .png, .jpeg and .pjpeg.

Click on Upload My Documents at the bottom of the page.

Step 2
Click on Select a file.

Important: Please note that the steps to follow differ depending on whether you’re uploading the documents from your computer or from your smartphone or tablet. The following screenshots apply only to uploads done by computer.

Next, find where you stored your documents on your computer. Select the first document, make sure that it has the right file extension, and click Open.

If the document doesn’t have the right file extension, a message will pop up indicating that the file could not be uploaded. A reminder that we accept documents with the following file extensions: .pdf, .jpg, .png, .jpeg and .pjpeg.

Step 3
Your document will appear on the left side of the screen, as shown below. To add your second document, click Select a file again.

Select the document, make sure that it has the right file extension, and click Open.

Step 4
Make sure that the documents you selected are the right ones. If so, click on Send to submit your documents. If not, delete one or both documents by clicking on the “X” and repeat Steps 2, 3 and 4 as needed.

Processing your request
You’ll receive an email notifying you that your Espacejeux account is open once we’ve gone over your documents and confirmed your identity. You’ll be able to enjoy all that our gaming website has to offer only once you receive this email.

I forgot my username. How can I recover it?

In the log-in window, click on “Forgot your username?”. Enter the email address you used to register for your account. Your username will be emailed to you. If you don’t see the email, make sure you provided the same email address as in your Espacejeux account, or check your spam folder.

I forgot my password. How can I reset it?

Follow the steps below.

Step 3
You should have received an email containing a link to reset your password (if the information you provided in Step 2 matches up). Click on the link.

Don’t see an email from us?

– Make sure you’re checking the right email inbox. We sent the link to the same email address as in your Espacejeux account. – Check your spam folder in case the email was redirected.

Step 4
Fill in the fields with the requested information. Answer the security question, then enter your new password.

Important note: Your password must be between 8 and 25 characters long, and include at least one uppercase letter, one lowercase letter and one number (but no spaces, accents or special characters).

Click on Submit.

My contact information has changed. How do I update it?

It’s easy! Once you’re logged in, click on the My Espacejeux icon, then on Account Details.

You can then edit your contact information. Don’t forget to save your changes before logging out by clicking on Confirm at the bottom of the page.

How can I change my security question?

Click on the Espacejeux account icon, then Account Details. In the Personal Information section, pick another security question, and enter your answer. Next, scroll to the bottom of the page and click on Save.

Can I play from my mobile phone?

Yes. Games are available on the mobile site which is optimized for tablets and smartphones. Sports betting allows you to bet real money with the Mise-o-jeu app and you can, as well, purchase some lotteries with the Lotteries app.

Where can I find historical information on my games?

Your game history is available in your account, under Account History. You can access the description and details of your games during 13 months. Games history of Supercubes, Chain Reactors and Chain Reactors 100 are available for 30 days. After that, you can request Customer Service to provide you with all the information.

You can deposit funds to your Espacejeux account from the standard website, from the mobile site or from the Mise-o-jeu mobile application:

You’ll find your account number in the Account Details section. ◦ Please note that it can take three to five business days for funds to show as posted in your Espacejeux account (the usual processing time for bill payments).

How do I enter or update my credit card information in my Espacejeux account?

To add a credit card

In your Espacejeux account, click on the My Espacejeux icon, then on Deposit.

Use the information on your credit card to fill out the following fields: Card type,* Card Number* and Expiry Date,* then click on Submit.

Step 4
A confirmation message will pop up indicating that your credit card information has been saved. Click on Back to My account to go back to the main menu.

Step 5
In the left-hand menu, click on Deposits.

There, you should see your credit card information. The last four digits of your credit card number should appear next to the Credit Card/Visa Debit payment method.

To update your credit card information

Step 1
In your Espacejeux account, click on the My Espacejeux icon, then on Deposit.

Select the Credit Card/Visa Debit payment method, then click on Change.

I want to deposit funds to my Espacejeux account using the bill payment option. My bank’s online site is asking for the payee name and account number. Where can I find this information?

The supplier name (some banks use the expression “payee”) is Espacejeux. You can find your account number in the Account Details section of the web site and mobile.

I’ve deposited money, but the funds don’t show as posted in my Espacejeux account. Why?

You haven’t lost any money! It may be that the amount of money you deposited exceeds your weekly deposit limit. If it does, please note that the surplus will be redeposited in your bank account. Make sure that your banking information is saved in your Espacejeux account. Otherwise, check out the How do I enter my banking information in order to make a withdrawal question for information on what to do.

For a better understanding, consider this example:

  • Today is Thursday. The weekly deposit limit is valid from Sunday at midnight to the following Saturday at 11:59 p.m.
  • On Thursday, you deposit $25 in your Espacejeux account. Your weekly deposit limit is set to $40.
  • You log in to your Espacejeux account and see that only $20 has been posted to your account, rather than $25.
  • You start to worry that, somehow, you lost $5.
  • You check your Espacejeux account again and remember that you made a $20 deposit a few days prior, i.e. this past Sunday.
  • You then realize that you tried to deposit $45 in one week, which is $5 above your weekly limit.
  • The $5 surplus will be redeposited in your bank account.

How do I enter my banking information in order to make a withdrawal?

Follow these steps to enter your banking information.

Please have a sample cheque for your bank account ready.

Step 1
In your Espacejeux account, click on the My Espacejeux icon, then on Withdrawals.

Step 2
Provide the requested information (this information can easily be found on your sample cheque):

– The name of your financial institution

– Your transit number

– The institution number

– Your account number

Then click on Next.

Step 3
A confirmation message will pop up indicating that your banking information has been saved. You’re almost done, just one more step!

An amount between $0.01 and $0.99 will be deposited in your bank account to ensure that the banking information you entered is correct. Because the deposit will only appear in your bank account in the next 48 business hours, we ask that you wait 1 or 2 days before checking whether the money was deposited.

Click on Continue.

Step 4
Once you see the deposit in your bank account, take note of the amount. Then go back to your Espacejeux account and, in the Withdrawals section, enter the amount in the Amount Deposited by Espacejeux* field (in our example, the amount is $0.12).

Then click on Submit.

Your banking information is now saved.

Click on Continue.

I’ve withdrawn money from my Espacejeux account, but the funds don’t show as posted in my personal bank account. Why?

Banking transactions can take anywhere from three to five business days to process. For your peace of mind, please keep the confirmation email you received when you made your withdrawal request.

How can I withdraw money from my Espacejeux account?

You can only do this by logging in to our gaming website. You must first save your personal banking information, then enter the amount you want to withdraw in the Withdrawals section. The amount will then be transferred to your bank account.

What’s Argent Web? Why does it appear on the deposits page?

My credit card issuer is charging me fees for depositing money in my account. Why is that?

How much money can I deposit in my Espacejeux account?

You can deposit a minimum of $20. If you want to deposit less than $20, you can purchase an Argent Web ticket at one of our lottery retail outlets; they are sold in $10 increments. The maximum amount of money you can deposit depends on the weekly deposit you set. The maximum you can deposit with Argent Web tickets is $500 per week.

How can I set or change one or more of my limits (deposit, time or loss limits)?

You can set limits on the amount of time and money you spend gaming.

1. Log in to your lotoquebec.com account.

2. Click on the Espacejeux account icon, then Manage My Gaming.

There are three types of limit you can set:

  • Deposit limit
  • Time limit
  • Loss limit

This is the maximum amount of money that you can deposit in your Espacejeux account every week (from Sunday to Saturday).

You were required to set a weekly deposit limit when you opened your account. However, you can change it at any time. Here’s how:

    Enter the new amount you want to set in the provided field.

Important:
– You don’t have to deposit that amount every week.
– That amount will not automatically be withdrawn from your account.

  • Scroll to the bottom of the page and click on Update.
  • This is the maximum length of time that you’re willing to play over a set period of time. This includes the time played with real money and in demo mode. How to set or change this limit:

    • Click on the box(es) that correspond to the time limits you want to set or change (daily and/or weekly and/or monthly).
    • Enter the duration in the corresponding field (the field you select will change from grey to white).

    If you have decreased your playing time, deposit or spending limits, your request will take effect immediately. If you have raised your weekly deposit limit, the change will take effect after 24 hours.

    I set a deposit limit, but the money was not deposited into my account. Why?

    Setting a deposit limit does not constitute an automatic transfer request, but rather it is a means to establish the maximum amount that you can deposit to your Espacejeux account over a 7-day period (from Sunday to Saturday).

    I requested a timeout from gaming, but have changed my mind. Can I cancel my timeout request?

    No, a gaming timeout request is irrevocable.

    To buy these lotteries online, you must first have an Espacejeux account on Loto Québec’s online gaming site. To become a member, click on the Register. You will be redirected to a secure registration form on Loto-Québec’s online gaming website. Once registration is complete but before playing, you will need to deposit sufficient funds in your Espacejeux account by clicking on the Deposit link.

    If you already have an Espacejeux account, you may immediately open a gaming session using your username and password. Once connected to your account, click on the Lotteries link in the menu and select the lottery you wish to buy. Make your selections and then click Buy Online to confirm your selections and conclude the transaction. If you have not already opened a gaming session, you will be prompted to do so to conclude your transaction. When the transaction is successfully concluded, your Espacejeux account will be debited in the amount of the wager and your balance will be updated accordingly.

    How may I claim a prize won online?

    When the total cash prize won in a single transaction is under $25,000, the amount of the prize is directly deposited in your Espacejeux account. For cash prizes worth $25,000 or more, a customer service staff will contact winners directly to explain how to make the claim.

    Cash prizes worth $25,000 or more must be claimed at Loto-Québec offices in Montréal or Québec City (Winner’s Payout Centre. Merchandise prices, spots to participate in TV games and annuities must be claimed at Loto-Québec offices in Montréal or Québec City (Winner’s Payout Centre).

    In each case, customer service staff contact winners directly to explain how to make the claim.

    How may I claim a free play or a free selection won online?

    Free plays and free selections won online are automatically issued for the following draw. You may view the free plays and selections for the next draw in the My Purchases section. You may not select or change the numbers on your free plays or selections. Please note that you cannot add Extra to a free play or free selection that has been won online. Consequently, no Extra number will be displayed for that ticket.

    May I keep the same Extra number for another transaction?

    No. A new Extra number is randomly generated at the time of the transaction.

    Are online lotteries available for group purchases?

    Yes. In order to do so, you can create a lottery group according to your own specifications and share it with your friends and co-workers so they can join. You can also join an existing group created by players with Espacejeux account. Learn more.

    May I change my selections if the draw has not yet taken place?

    No. Once the transaction is concluded, it cannot be changed or cancelled.

    How does the Buy from a Retailer option work?

    Once you have made your selections, you may opt to go to a retailer to buy your ticket rather than conclude the transaction online. Click on Buy from a Retailer and follow the instructions to print a page with a bar code matching your selection(s). You must then present the bar code to a Loto -Québec retailer to record your selection(s) and issue your ticket. You are not required to have an Espacejeux account to use this option.

    What does the note In progress mean when it is displayed on the My Purchases page?

    The My Purchases page displays the list of draws in which you are participating that have not yet taken place. On the evening of the draw, the note In progress in the Next draw column indicates that the draw is being conducted. Results are generally available the next morning.

    How may I check whether I have won?

    The My Results section displays the list of draws in which you are participating, according to draw date starting with the most recent. For each draw, the Validation Status column indicates whether or not you have won. You may view the winning numbers and the amount of your prize, if any, by clicking on the name of the lottery. You can also sign up to receive via e-mail the results for lottery products you purchased online, for all your online purchases or only when you win.     What is the My favourites section?

    Use the My favourites section to save your favourite selections so you can replay them quickly and easily.     Can I view historical information about my played hands?

    You can view the history of your played hands on all devices. On your computer, the option is available in the SUPPORT section in the left-hand menu. On your tablet, click on your avatar. On your mobile, click on the “≡” menu icon in the upper left-hand corner and select ACCOUNT.

    How can I change my table position?

    Click first on the chair icon then on a position at the table. This selection will change your place at the table, but your position relative to the puck will remain the same. You can store your selection by choosing MENU, then SETTINGS. Then select REMEMBER PREFERRED SEAT.

    What should I do if the table I want to play at is full?

    You can request notification when a place frees up by clicking on the WAITING LIST button. You can monitor the waiting list from the Poker Lobby.

    How do I register in a tournament?

    It’s easy! Open the poker app and log in to authenticate yourself. Then click on TOURNAMENTS, SIT & GO or SLOT & GO, according to the type of tournament you want to play. You will then see the list of available tournaments. Select one that is in “registration” or “late registration” mode. The tournament will start automatically at the appropriate time.

    I registered for a tournament but am no longer able to play. Can I cancel my registration, or transfer my seat to another player?

    Transferring your seat to someone else is not permitted. However, you can cancel and obtain a refund. You can cancel your registration in multi-table tournaments and satellite tournaments up to three minutes before start time and withdraw from tournaments at any time before they start. Your registration fees will be refunded. If you won your seat in a satellite tournament, you will not be able to cancel your registration, since only players that actually paid for their entry fees can cancel and receive a refund.

    What happens when a tournament is cancelled?

    A refund policy has been designed for this situation. See tournament refund policy procedures.

    Can I play a casino game and a poker tournament at the same time?

    Yes. There are no restrictions about this.

    What are my Poker Experience Points (PxPs) good for?

    You can redeem your PxPs for tournament credits, which you can use to pay your entry fees for any multi-table or instant tournaments you want.     May I purchase cards in advance?

    Yes, there are two ways to do so. You can use “autobuy” or “pre-buy” buttons. Autobuy enables you to purchase cards for up to 10 consecutive games during an ongoing gaming session that begins upon confirmation of your purchase. Pre-buy enables you to purchase cards up to two weeks prior to the start of the game in which you wish to take part. Note that free bingo and games generated by special promotions might not be available for pre-buy.

    Can I cancel the purchase of cards after the transaction has been completed?

    No. When using the “pre-buy” button, the amount of your wager is removed from your account as soon as the transaction is confirmed (however, the wager is refunded if the game is cancelled).     How can I browse the complete betting offer for an event?

    What are odds?

    Odds are given for each prediction. They are used to determine the potential return on your bet.

    How is the potential return calculated?

    A selection’s potential return is the amount of your wager multiplied by each of the odds associated with your predictions (ex: 1st odds X 2nd odds X wager = Potential return), subject to the Dead Heat Rule.

    To calculate the potential return on a single bet, simply multiply the odds associated with your prediction by the amount of your wager, subject to the Dead Heat Rule.

    To win a bet, all the predictions of a selection must be accurate.

    What is a single bet?

    Single-bet questions don’t have to be combined with another prediction for you to register your selection. Only questions marked by a may be played as single bets.

    Due to certain constraints of the Criminal Code, not all questions may be offered as single-bet questions. You must therefore generally make at least 2 predictions in order to register a bet.

    Two types of questions can be played as single bets: those relating to more than one event and those that combine two questions in one. For example, “Winning Margin” requires a prediction on the winner of the match AND on the number of goals by which the match will be won.

    How can I register a single bet?

    To register a single bet, you must first identify the questions marked with a in the betting offer. When a prediction on a question offered as a single bet is added to your betslip, a white box will appear directly below it for you to indicate the amount you’d like to bet.

    Indicate the amount of your wager and confirm your bet by clicking the Place Bet button at the bottom of the betslip.

    Why are some prediction combinations not allowed?

    It’s possible that a selection cannot be registered because the sales limit for that selection or for a given prediction has been reached.

    Other prediction combinations may also be prohibited if there is a correlation between them, i.e. the predictions for a given selection are related, have an impact on one another or are contradictory.

    Example: For a Montréal vs. Boston match, you can’t combine the question, “What will be the final score of the game?” and the question, “Who will win the game?” because if the prediction “Montréal will win the game 3 to 1” came to be, it means that the prediction “Montréal will win” would necessarily occur as well. Conversely, if the prediction “Montréal will win the game 3 to 1” came to be, it would be impossible for the prediction “Boston will win” to occur as well.

    Why do odd have different formats?

    With Mise-o-jeu, odds have always been offered using the decimal format. However, some prefer to use the American format or the fractional format. The new Mise-o-jeu+ website allows players to choose their preferred format.

    How should the various odds formats be interpreted?

    Decimal format

    With the decimal format, you must multiply the odds by the amount of your wager to calculate your potential return. The lowest odds have the highest likelihood of occurring.

    American format

    If the American format is negative, it indicates the amount you must bet in hopes to make a profit of $100. If it’s positive, it indicates the profit you could make on a $100 amount wager. Therefore, the favourite is always displayed with a negative value while the underdog has a positive value.

    For example, with odds of -110, in hopes to make a profit of $100, you must bet $110. With odds of +110, if you bet $100, you can hope to make a profit of $110. For example, for a winning prediction with odds of +110, you will make $110 (profit) + $100 (bet) = $210 (potential return).

    Fractional format

    In this format, the numerator represents the profit to be made for the bet shown in the denominator. For example, with odds of 1/5, for every $5 bet, you could make a $1 profit, for a potential return of $6 ($5 bet + $1 profit). Similarly, with odds of 4/1, you could make a profit of $4 on a $1 bet if your bet wins, for a potential return of $5 ($1 bet + $4 profit).

    What is the purpose of the Settings tab in the betslip?

    This tab allows you to change certain options. If you check the Confirm Bets Before Placing box, the betslip will ask you for a confirmation before registering your bets. If this box is unchecked, your bets will be registered as soon as you press the Place Bet button.

    If you check the Always Accept Odds, Spread or Total Changes box, you will not be notified if the odds, the spread or the total for any of the predictions in your betslip change before you register your selection. This box is not checked by default.

    Main types of bets

    1. Match or event winner

    You must predict the winner of the event.

    Match or event winner with 2 outcomes

    For questions offered with only 2 outcomes, the results are determined by including overtime periods, extra innings, shootouts or other if applicable. If, however, the event ends in a draw, the predictions on such question shall be void and cannot be part of a winning selection.

    For example, in hockey, you bet on the team who you think will win the match, following overtime periods and shootouts if applicable.

    Match or event winner with 3 outcomes

    In the event that a “draw” outcome is also offered, the results are determined by excluding any overtime periods, extra innings, shootouts or other, if applicable.

    For example, in soccer, you bet on the team who you think will win the match or on a draw. In such case, the outcome of the match if determined at the end of regular time and by including, if applicable, any added injury or stoppage time, but by excluding extra time, penalty shootouts or golden goals.

    You must predict the winner of the event. Questions are offered with only 2 outcomes, and, unless otherwise stated, the results are determined by excluding any overtime periods, extra innings, shootouts, or other, if applicable. If the event ends in a draw, the predictions on such question shall be void and cannot be a part of a winning selection.

    3. Spread questions

    You must predict the winner of the event by applying a given spread. For questions with spreads, Loto-Québec sets out in the Mise-o-jeu+ Betting offer a number (the spread) used to determine by how many goals (or points, strokes or other) a team or player must beat his opponent for a prediction to be accurate.

    2-Way Sprea

    For 2-way spread questions, 2 outcomes are offered. If the question’s outcome constitutes the exact spread sets out in the Mise-o-jeu+ Betting offer, any prediction related to the question shall be considered void and cannot be a part of a winning selection.

    For example, for a 2-way spread question on a US football match, the outcomes offered are “Team A +3” and “Team B -3.” You make a prediction on “Team B -3.”

    • Your prediction will be accurate if Team B wins the game with a margin of more than 3 points. • Your prediction will be lost and a prediction on Team A will be accurate if: (1) Team B wins the game by fewer than 3 points, (2) the game is a tie (draw), or (3) Team A wins the game. • If Team B wins with exactly 3 points, your prediction will be void.

    Similarly, for a basketball match, the outcomes offered for the same type of question are “Team A -2.5” and “Team B +2.5.” You make a prediction on “Team B +2.5.”

    • Your prediction will be accurate if: (1) Team B wins the game, (2) Team B loses the game by 2 points or less, or (3) the game is a tie (draw). • Your prediction will be lost and a prediction on Team A will be accurate if Team B loses the game by more than 3 points.

    3-way Spread

    For 3-way spread questions, a “draw” outcome is also offered.

    For example, for a 3-way spread question, the outcomes offered are “Team A -2”, “Team B +2” and “Draw -2”.

    • You make a prediction on “Team A -2.” Your prediction will be accurate if Team A wins the game by 3 goals or more. • You make a prediction on “Draw -2.” Your prediction will be accurate if Team A with a-2 spread wins the game with a difference of exactly 2 goals. • You make a prediction on “Team B +2.” Your prediction will be accurate if: (1) Team A loses the game, (2) the game is a tie (draw), or (3) Team A wins by 1 goal.

    You must predict if the total number of points (or goals, runs, games, shots, minutes played, hits, rebounds, bases, strikeouts or other) scored during the event(s) specified in the question will be over, under or equal to (if an “exact” outcome is offered) the number sets out in the Mise-o-jeu+ Betting offer. Loto-Québec then determines the outcome of these questions based on whether the total number of points scored during the event(s) concerned is greater (+), lesser (-) or equal to the indicated number.

    2-way total

    For 2-way total questions, 2 outcomes are offered. If the question’s outcome constitutes the exact total set out in the Mise-o-jeu+ Betting offer, any prediction related to such question shall be considered void and cannot be part of a winning selection.

    3-way total

    For 3-way total questions, an “equal” or “exact” outcome is also offered.

    5. Double chance

    You must predict two of the three possible outcomes of an event in only one question. The following possible outcomes are offered:

    • “Team A or Draw”: Your prediction will be accurate if Team A wins the match, or if the match ends in a tie. • “Team B or Draw”: Your prediction will be accurate if Team B wins the match, or if the match ends in a tie. • “Team A or Team B”: Your prediction will be accurate if Team A or Team B wins the match.

    The results are determined by excluding any overtime periods, extra innings, shootouts or other.

    6. Winning margin

    You must predict the winner of the event and the margin of points (or goals or other) by which the event will be won.

    This is offered as a single-bet question.

    You must predict which team will lead the event at halftime and the winner of the event. The results are determined by excluding any overtime periods, extra innings, shootouts or other, if applicable. In baseball, half time is defined as the first 5 innings of a game.

    This is offered as a single-bet question.

    You must predict which team or player will be the first to score the number of points (or goals, runs, games, corners or other) specified in the question during an event.

    9. Highest scoring half/quarter/period

    You must predict in which half (or quarter, period or other) of an event most points (or goals or other) will be scored.

    You must predict if the total number of goals (or points, runs or other) scored during the event will be an odd or even number. A score of zero (e.g. no goals are scored) is deemed to be an even number.

    11. Correct scores

    You must predict the score of both teams at the end of the event specified in the question. Unless otherwise stated, the results are determined by excluding any overtime periods, extra innings, shootouts or other, if applicable.

    If the score at the end of such event is not offered as an outcome for the question and the “Other” outcome is also not offered, any prediction on this question is deemed to be a loser.
